Is HDtracks com worth it? Despite the format of the audio file, which is clearly a higher bitrate than an mp3, the dynamic range on an album I just downloaded (Rush - Clockwork Angels) seems to be more or less the same as the regular release

The difference is that HDTracks (at least the albums that I got), were SACD rips SACDs often saw new mastering to take advantage of high dynamic range and avoid the loudness war

I have browsed through the site but found it underwhelming Hdtracks appears to have a bigger collection of titles at the same price At least for what I listen to anyway I highly recommend both Hdtracks and Onkyo Music for high resolution downloads As far as I know you can order from Prostudiomasters in the US

Qobuz, HDTracks, Bandcamp, Artist Share, eclassical - depends on who had the music As others have pointed out, Qobuz has the major advantage of redownloading and downloading different sample rates and file types (for us geeks who sometimes compare 44 16 vs 192 24 or whatever) I've only done this twice
