Need feed back on your hunting load for your 280 AI what bullet and powder that gives you the best out of your rifle My Hunting
- . 280AI vs. 30. 06 - Long Range Hunting Forum
The 280 will kill anything the 30-06 will The 280 AI will be a better LR hunting cartridge because 7mm bullets have higher BC and the 280 AI is launching them faster, so it shoots flatter, almost as good as the 7mm rem mag
- 7mm-08 vs 284 Win vs 280 AI in a lightweight rifle?
The 7mm-08, 284 Win, and 280 Rem AI all share the same bolt head While this rifle doesn't have a bolt, it does have an extractor that would need to be modified if I went to a magnum (I'm assuming)
- Loading a bullet to slowest speeds 7mm prc vs 280 AI
Ok so yes I know the 7mm prc is on paper 200 fps faster I’ve looked at the ballistics and I don’t mind the 280 AI “if” I can push it to max velocity HOWEVER as we all know accuracy might occur 80 fps down off max velocity I’m going to be getting to low there to justify the 280 ai over the
- 6. 5prc vs 280ai for my specific use case. . . - Long Range Hunting Forum
I'd say 280 AI Prc is not a lot more then the creedmoor you already have Extra 100 FPS or so 280ai is an awesome round that has great ballistics with the 180 grain bullet and would be better for those moose opportunities Still a breeze to shoot as well Plus maybe search this forum for the article about issues with the PRC case design causing clickers after a few reloads Major turn off
- 6. 5 creedmor vs 280ai - Long Range Hunting Forum
I love the 6 5 Creedmoor for mountain hunting Bucks the wind great and kills goats and sheep real well The 280 AI may be my favorite cartridge of all time (sorry 257 and 300 Wby) Light recoil, accurate, hits with authority What is not to love about such a great cartridge If I could only have one cartridge for all of my game needs, it would be the 280 AI
- 280ai and 7 prc starting loads and advise - Long Range Hunting Forum
In my 280 AI 1-8 5, I've found it does well with IMR 4350 in 150gr and lower (Barnes TTX 140s and Nosler BT 150s), RL 16 (if you can find it), then 4831sc in heavier 162's The gun shoots the 162 ELD-X quite well-took an Okla deer this year with it at 230 yards
