Just discovered that tver jp has Japanese subtitles and works with mpv If you have a script like mpvacious ready on your pc, you can easily sentence mine any video there by just dragging the URL into the mpv screen No need for downloading it or searching for subtitles, it also works with Viki Easy Anki cards

tver app website if u have a vpn is prob the most legal free (not considering the vpn cost) way to watch stuff its an officially ran app by the channels in japan and has a shit ton of shows the shows arent live (some can be watched live but most arent) and are left to watch a few hours after airing in japan the vods shows last for varying amount of time but usually they last for about a week
