I received a response from Edifier regarding the EQ knobs on the R1280T: Bass = + - 9 dB @ 160 Hz Treble = + - 9 dB @ 4 6 KHz Just a casual guess that these frequencies were chosen to reduce reflections if placed on a hard surface (160 Hz) and to adjust the resonance Amir noted (4 6 KHz)

Hi just got a pair of Edifier R1280DB (i think its quite similiar to R1280T?) Anyway, was planning to get Topping E30 DAC for PC setup Is it recommended or will improve the music quality? Found that using Optical from PC the sound is abit muffled, and switched to RCA 3 5mm jack, the sound become much clearer Many thanks It's possible

I bought a pair of these for my daughter but wow, I was disappointed They suck the vocal and piano midrange and the 2kHz -4kHz attack and clarity right out of the mix The sweet spot in the vertical plane is tiny which I think makes them pretty useless as desktop speaker Yes they sound better
