Just discovered an issue affecting several Bradington Young leather pieces purchased several years ago When furniture shopping it was made clear that any item containing feathers down was not an option Yesterday I noticed a feather protruding from the seam of a sofa cushion Pulled it out, opened the cushion zipper, and found numerous loose feathers and a feather topping on the foam cushion

The furniture store which is an hour from us is offering to give refund with 25% restock fee or buy more furniture from them I was told the only leather sofas they have fully made in USA without china leather is Mckinley My question is, should we lose money or get Mckinley and any advice on leather with that company would be appreciated

My other furniture is all Mission style, quarter-sawn oak so I want simple styles yet comfortable with a high nap quotient (Husband likes a relaxing Saturday afternoon nap) I don't care for the Mission style sofas with the wood arms and am looking for fully upholstered sofas I like the chenille fabrics in earth tones

We went furniture shopping recently for two sofas, two reclines, and two loveseats all of them having a 'recline' feature We hit the regular stores and sat in a ton of furniture but settled on what we thought was a product that CLEARLY felt better built and better made than anything else in the store What we ended up with was the Flexsteel Belmont and Grandview The leather felt thicker

Lastly, anyone have feelings one way or another about Nichols and Stone; Smith Brothers; and Flexsteel I have fairly limited brands in the area I'm hoping to get a sofa for under $2000 that will look good for years and that will not snag easy, fuzz, sag, etc and that will clean easily and be tolerant of a 20 lb dog Thank you Reply With Quote
