I uploaded a zipped File Geodatabase to ArcGIS Online It uploaded successfully and it shows up in My Content My intention was to add layers in the File GDB to an Arc Online map But Arc Online won't let me do so There is no option to add it to the ArcGIS Online map viewer, and it will not show

Josh, thanks again I'm going to retest the update against another gdb feature layer and see if I get the same behaviour The gdbs in question are quite large, containing multiple feature classes and serving multiple feature layers, so I guess it could be that the timestamp hasn't changed (yet) as it's still updating all the feature layers

If you want to send as feature class, you just zip the File Geodatabase (General Parks Maps gdb (which actually looks like a folder in Windows Explorer)) This will let you send the entire FGDB, including ALL the feature classes, tables, etc that are in it Or, r-click, new FGDB, copy paste the desired feature class (s) into it, zip and send R_

Shouldn't the "Update Data" button on the FGDBs page not update both the GDB item and its published hosted feature layer? If the data is updated in the hosted feature layer, it doesn't update the "schema updated" or "data updated" time stamp in the feature layer item page
