I purchased my first chain saw about three months ago - Husqvarna 450 Rancher Used it once and put it away today I see oil has run out of the bottom of the case it's in Took it out of the case, cleaned the oil off the bottm, but can't tell where it's coming from I assume it's chain oil? Any

Some guys are stuck in a ' one-chain-on-one-saw ' mindset, filing on the bar, and using a chain up before removing it I like to think of my saws like a socket set: power heads = ratchets (1 4", 3 8", 1 2" drive) guide bars = extensions chains = sockets (deep, 6 point, metric, etc ) Choose what you need for the task at hand

I took the saw to the local Stihl service shop this morning Their guy tried it, and said it's fine as is He showed me a new technique for starting, too: instead of holding the saw stationary, and pulling the cord, he held the cord, and "dropped" the saw with his other hand It does make it easer to start

Hey folks I've been sawing for almost 30 years now and am pretty good at working on saws but not necessarily using them For some reason, I have never quite figured out how to avoid getting the bar and chain pinched when cutting a hanging limb or a log that is propped up Any suggestions on
- Can I remove just one link to save a stretched chain that still has . . .
I have a good chain that is at the limit to tighten, but cutters have plenty of life left Will this affect the pitch enough to cause a problem?

been chain sawing a bit last couple weeks I think I've always used a 3 8-pico chain, on my saw or whatever I've used over the years Used an 029 having a 325 chain and after being conscious about the cutting abilities between saws I was using, I like a 325 over the pico So my question(s)
