Why don't we apply to Green Acres to purchase the old middle school and add that to the recreation department Turn the Middle School into a YMCA and asked the YMCA to manage it This way we can have a gym, installing an indoor pool, have open rooms for meetings to include clubs such as Scouts or others

The pool definitely does not cost $150k to maintain- I would love to see documentation showing that It is interesting to learn the president and other members of Centenary went to a town meeting to discuss the cost of the pool- while the people who actually use the pool were blindsided by the announcement of the closure

Hackettstown "sold their soul" to Green Acres; there is no "taking back our community pool" What they CAN do is to get rid of the grills; it seems to be a major draw to out-of-towners and not an amenity that is used much by town residents
