  • Flight Model Comparison 2024 vs 2020 - Unexpected Results?
With my ancient peripherals, all sims tend to have overly twitchy general aviation light - medium aircraft flight models I found the C172 to feel nicer more realistic in 2024 vs 2020 or even xp12 But similar to this thread, others will feel different The best flight model in my experience was the old Realair Lancair Legacy in FSX
  • How to make pitch and yaw control less twitchy - AVSIM
Like many others I felt the pitch and yaw control in MSFS is way too twitchy Here is how I fixed – or at least worked around – it: 1 Always remember to make a backup before you edit any file ;-) 2 The Flight Model is set to "Modern" 3 The Sensitivity in the Controls Settings is set to defau
  • GA planes in 2024 recommendations? - AVSIM
Flies very well in 2024 The ground handling is a little twitchy, but nothing crazy (guessing that just needs updated to the new sim) It is a great hand flier in 2024 Everything seems to work fine, although I'm no systems expert I haven't tried the A2A Comanche yet, but I understand there's a beta patch for 2024
  • Are default aircraft in FS2024 editable? - AVSIM
Are the default FS2024 aircraft like the C172 editable flight model wise? It looks to me from early YouTube videos that many of the aircraft demonstrate (yet again) twitchiness in control, particularly yaw steering on the ground and way too twitchy in pitch
  • MSFS 2024 flight dynamics and ground water handling thread
Aircraft have weight and inertia Trimming is much better, less twitchy No way to land anywhere now - I've tried simulated force landings and you now have to choose a landing site very carefully! Turbulence is great and seems to interact with the terrain trees better than 2020 Plenty of problems still on day 2 though - streaming is very slow
  • iFly will beat PMDG in releasing the 737 Max in MSFS - AVSIM
Posted October 16, 2024 It does feel an awful lot better if you enable the tiller option, but even if you don't, this is one aircraft where "twitchy" isn't the right word I agree that the pedals are too sensitive, but even then, the feel isn't twitchy, there's still inertia behind the yaw The rudder is simply more powerful than it ought to be
  • MSFS 2024 flight dynamics and ground water handling thread
On 11 22 2024 at 11:43 AM, AlexMD11 said: I am not 100% set on the flight dynamics yet - especially the ground ones feeling twitchy, almost as if the aircraft is slightly floating on takeoff roll rather than firmly on the ground Differs per aircraft though, just did a mission in the VL3 and felt completely unrealistic, the c172 felt much better
  • Helicopters FM evaluation - FS 2024 - AVSIM
Expand Agree the H125 is very twitchy Hmmm, in my case if I do the quick trim and then release the stick it goes straight back to high pitch up and banking Will check if I have done something wrong I find the G2 much more enjoyable as you can actual trim it as required for phase of flight
