- Update: State Farm Drone Insurance - DJI Mavic, Air Mini Drone Community
We all know how excessive the rules are about what counts as "Commercial" operation in the drone realm Using your own drone to inspect your own roof counts as commercial But I wanted to get my new FPV insured (the DJI policy is way too expensive), so I checked with the local State Farm agent
- Best place to send for repairs? DJI or independent facility?
It is not covered by Care Refresh and don't want to cash in the State Farm coverage (as they cancel with one claim and my Mavic 2 Pro is on that same policy) WHAT'S MY BEST BET FOR QUALITY REPAIR AT A REASONABLE COST- DJI OR AN INDEPENDENT AUTHORIZED REPAIR FACILITY?? If an independent, please tell me which one you've had good experience with

FYI, State Farm told me they wouldn’t insure drones used “ever” for commercial purposes If you’re a 107 pilot and the drone is registered for that use, State Farm won’t cover any loss, even when using it recreationally

The State Farm Personal Articles Policy in the U S is only $75 per year for up to $3000 worth of listed drones Don't even need to recover the drone, and no deductible!

I had State Farm policy on my drones before there was Care Refresh I continued the policy's even after 10 years One time disaster hit, they paid $1100 and canceled my policy Also they will not give me new policy a few years later It's one and done with them
