I am finding they have made changes to their login process at some point in January which make things a lot more hassle My wife and I would both use the same computer to check online banking (both Santander C A), she doesn't have the Santander App on her phone either We use Chrome browser and have the AdNauseam plugin to block ads

Santander is my main account and I usually log in daily Most times I use the app (old version usually but sometimes also the new) Occasionally, I have to use online banking, e g to change an SO I use Chrome for online banking, and the app is on iPhone I can’t recall any login or other usability issues

Every time I log in to my Santander online account I get a request to put in a code into my mobile phone This is inconvenient as I do not always have my mobile handy to my desktop PC, I am 78 years old and it is not an easy task to get up and down the stairs etc I have spoken to Santander and they are not interested, they tell me that it is all automated and they cannot do anything

Something that has changed for me recently is when I log on to my Santander online account (most of the time I do use the app but occasionally convenient to use pc laptop) is asking me for a OTP, with no option I can see to make a trusted browser

My mother has now got online banking with Santander and initially logged in with the temporary ID she received

Santander like many other banks is moving away from using SMS for OTPs and instead will use Push notifications to the device with their app installed To login to Web banking you need to acknowledge an authorisation sent to the Mobile App by default, with SMS OTP being the fallback

Not advertised anywhere but Santander allow customers to login to online web banking via OTP sent to your email address

Having a issue when I login opens on the account page OK but once I attempt to navigate anywhere it brings up screen online banking not available Sometimes if I click on the back arrow it does take me back to the accounts page
