I checked out print preview, and it's pretty clear which layer the scratch occurs at because of the red-line that indicates it's traveling at the location of the scratch Is Simplify 3d not lifting at that particular travel path? I'd hate to watch the whole print all over again just to find out, lol

I hadn't heard of the term "ironing" before (used in the context of 3d printing, that is!) and mistakenly assumed it referred to smoothing the surface in the shape definition

Same problem here Simplify 3D simply stopped working while using the same build of windows without a restart I installed the latest Simplify 3D version, deleted the savestate factory file, deleted the savestate directory, but no joy If I delete the savestate directory Simplify3D will open but crashes as soon as it tries to parse an STL

If you have Windows10, it's very simple to slice the model in 3D Builder and then export discrete STLs and print separately
