Every time someone posts about the surfline subscription I take the opportunity to hype it I use it in conjunction with windy and noaa data and have scored around the world on surf trips and strike missions I highly recommend the app because it took my surfing to another level, plus the cams are fun and useful and the content is good Is it perfect? No, but it serves it purpose The haters

So I’m trying to get better at forecasting conditions and reading surf reports I’ve been using Surfline frequently to check to forecast for various beaches in Japan and I noticed Surfline is wrong awfully often While it checks out for maybe 20-30% of the spots, the rest is all over the place To give you an example, Surfline reports a 14 2ft swell @ 13s resulting in 15-18 faces at one

exactly surfline is basically a streaming service and on the day of swell I can check wind conditions across multiple local spots via the cams Theyir forecasts are so insanely bad and innaccurate since they updated, at least for my area

Here is how I use the Surfline app to figure out where to go Step 1-getting to know the spot you want to visit The two most important items to take into account are swell direction and tide Swell direction is important since this is where geography comes in regarding the "exposure" of a spot to swells

trueHey guys, I just got a new garmin fenix 7x and there is a "surfline" activity app I can use with it I don't own an apple device so I can't use the surfline sessions for the iPhone But is it any good for tracking? Or better stick to the "surf" activity from garmin on the watch? Any feedback would be appreciated Cheers!

I see people hating on Surfline pretty often, and I’m not sure if they realize how dumb they look It takes a real ignorance of how complicated forecasting is to blatantly point out every time it’s slightly off, as if you’re the first genius to point out the swell missed town or something

Any alternatives to Surfline? I live in the UK and I used to use Magicseaweed, which I loved Since now it's only Surfline and I hate it! Does anyone know any similar apps websites similar to Magicseaweed?
