trying to do the gourmet vincent's challenge quest but after the giant squid fight i cant seem to find the limestone caves at all is this meant to be so, or am i stupid or what

Limestone cavern has a relatively low spawn chance And not only that, but some quests also stop it from spawning, annoyingly enough Rushing the main story does allow you to get a method for growing your own sea weeds eventually But by that point you'll most likely have better recipes available for you

The limestone cave spawns randomly usually during the Afternoon dive though (At least in my experience) Far as the Seahorses, from my experience it's pretty random where they show up but I got them all pretty easily

Zebra Seahorse Info First, the Stalactite Cave entry is misleading, yes it can spawn in there but I never found it there It actually spawns in the 50-130 zone most commonly near the shipwreck (the one you can enter)

Limestone cave after quest? I have a jellyfish event coming up and want some white-spotted jellyfish for it - I am under the impression the limestone cave only spawns randomly, I am now on the day of the event and can't find any If I keep quitting and restarting the game will I eventually get the cave?

Well, the depth gives a clue, but if it doesn't show up when you scour the map then it's probably biome-dependent, ie: limestone caves
