Finviz Elite is fast and provides a snapshot of all the important data I need - relative volume, sectors, market cap, float size, uptrending downtrending, earnings dates etc TradingView is great also but a little too clunky for my liking, though I do use it sometimes to check upcoming events Edit: Also, MarketSmith's Android app is terrible

I was having the same issue scraping the Yahoo data in Python, and in Matlab as well As a workaround, I wrote a macro in VBA to grab all of the EV EBITDA data from Yahoo by visiting each stock's Key Statistics page However, it takes about a day to run on all 3,000+ stocks with market caps over $200M, which is not really practical I've tried finding the EV EBITDA on various stock screeners

I would recommend that you try paper trading first Any strategy will make money in a bull market, just depends on your risk profile (are you YOLOing or creating a diversified portfolio of different asset classes) and how long you are willing to wait A stock that can loose 50% in the next week, could be up 100% over the next 12 months The screener is just a starting point for analysis Reply

The list of stocks doesn't by chance include NONE or NULL does it? I did find a few APIs utterly blew a gasket if you tried to look up stocks with those names I had I think NONE show up in one of my tables once Looking up NONE or NULL now with IB API it gives a "No security definition found for the request" but in the past as soon as the program requested that data, not only did the API
