I am restoring my grandfather's 1931 rod, but it has a loose ferule What would be a good adhesive to use? The fit between ferule and bamboo is pretty good, but the original makers ran some cotton string between the walls of the ferule and the bamboo in order to fill in some space Thanks for the advice! D

At your price point that shouldn't be hard on eBay or any of several used or consignment sellers, I'd suggest the classic fly rod forum as the place to research vintage bamboo, it's what they do

Since I made the switch, I think I've purchased 30+ bamboo rods off of the well-known auction site, but my purchases began with the cheaper production rods that were made by Montague, Horrocks-Ibbotson, Union Hardware, and the "unknown maker" rods
