I like Trailforks, but got lucky enough to be one of the old timers who had been using it forever, and when they went to a paid sub I jumped on the early adopters deal, which costs me $17 99 AUD per year The best part about that early adopter deal is that when Outside bought Pinkbike, that early adopter memberships covers it all

Something handy to note with using Trailforks; if you have downloaded the zones you're riding then you can put your phone on flight mode and it still loads the maps and shows your location I've done this tons of times and found it didn't hammer my battery much at all

Just logged into Trailforks and discovered it’s now behind a paywall (except for a small square around your home) At the risk of starting another paid Strava bin fire it does seem a bit unreasonable and disingenuous to me
