My walmart doesn't require you take a lunch if you work a 6 hour shift but you have to make sure you don't hit the 6 hour mark or you show up on a report that you didn't take a lunch Once you hit 6 hours you are required to take at least a 30 minute lunch

My state has had PPTO before Walmart even implemented it and it rolls over every year Not sure what the Walmart policy is honestly but we get 1 hour for every 30 hours worked I think I do call in every few months when needed so it's not like I never call out, but it still builds up
