- Those of you who work at a Lego retail store, what’s it like?
Here in New Zealand, we’ve had Lego since the 70’s, but only got our first dedicated store in the last three years! It’s in a high-end mall, so there’s probably a lot less asshole behaviour than other locations

Since I was like 5 years old I wanted to work in a Lego store and now I'm finally able to apply but before I do I'm curious what the benefits and draw backs are to working there? What's the pay like? Former Lego Store employee here Managers and assistant managers are given some freedom to make exceptions to the return policy Generally, opened sets aren’t eligible (from what I can remember; it’s been a couple years since I worked there), but at the manager’s discretion they can decide to take a return or exchange

i worked at a LEGO store for about 2 years to answer your questions-- its pretty cool you have to remember that it is a retail job, but besides the normal things you expect to deal with when working retail, its pretty cool the pay is pretty terrible most stores pay less than $1 over minimum wage to the lowest associates, usually around $2 more for supervisors, and then the managers are

Because LEGO retail focuses on customer experience through staff and interactivity to make the shops a desirable place to buy from Keeping prices at RRP also creates a premium pricing experience that means they don’t have to race to the bottom Meanwhile, they get the benefits of the distributed sets profits
- The LEGO Minifigure Factory is now available online
Not all Lego stores have a Minifigure factory which is honestly really unfortunate because not everyone lives in Florida or California where most of these machines are There's one in new York City too but most are in California or Florida which is just why? Imho the Minifigure factory should be in every lego store Not cherry picked ones

Does Lego sell pieces in their stores? I know there is pick a brick, but you can only order, right? I was wondering if Lego stores have shelves with a selection of pieces you can buy I’m asking because I bought a used set, it’s mostly complete but some small pieces are missing Nothing special, black 1x3 tile, a dark grey short connector pin, and stuff like that I checked bricklink but
