19 votes, 46 comments truefor those not using the curseforge launcher, look for the forge installer, click on the three lines at the top left corner and find your game version then download the installer After the installer has been downloaded, open it with java then extract install client then whichever one made the folder that says the version needed should be dragged into versions>folder

On Curseforge, click on the modpack to open the page where it lists all of the mods Up in the top right, there should be a button to open the folder that contains all the folders for that Minecraft instance Open that and look for a mods folder Download the appropriate Optifine version for your game and drop it into the mods folder Reload
