Does anyone know what frequencies are used by the Death Valley National Park service? I did search the database, but did not find anything

I haven't been on the NPS part of Death Valley in a couple of years, but I frequent areas just outside the park boundaries 170 1000 seems to have the bulk of the traffic, including the Morning Report There are a couple of other ranger tac frequencies, but these are radio-to-radio frequencies, and don't go through the repeater system

You might be able to pick it up from some locations within the expanded boundaries of the now Death Valley National Park (until 1994 it was a national monument and about 1 million acres smaller) such as Saline Valley and Eureka Dunes, but don't plan on hearing any activity that involves those locations

I don’t live in the area asking for a friend What’s a good portable scanner so that he can monitor the ATC at Nellis, flight to ground comms, and air to air comms, plus when planes go out for training over Death Valley Not interested in the trunked base operations traffic I’m totally new

I was camping in Death Valley National Park when a car driven by "sovereign citizens" refused to stop for a NHP officer, began traveling at speeds over 100 miles per hour and fired at other NHP officers and Nye County, Nevada deputies before entering the east side of the park They then fired at NPS protection rangers and a NPS patrol plane
