- What does it mean when we add 이 가 on to the object of the verb?
In both of these sentences, it looks like 이 가 is being used on the verb object, not the subject It seems to have a kind of 'emphatic' or 'indicative' flavour, but why would we not just use 는 은 for that (그 것은 알고 싶다 , 사과는 먹고 싶어요)?

It seems very similar to me Are they interchangeable? For example, what would be the difference between "제주도에 가봤어요?" and "제주도에 간 적이 있어요?" ? This is especially confusing since my textbook also combine both structures into "제주도에 가 본 적이 있어요?" (가다 -> 가 보다 -> 가 본 적이 있다)

Is this just the standard 이 가 subject particle? I only know of long phrasal negation being shaped like -지 않다 , so seeing the 가 in there confuses me
