Problems removing Equifax freeze I could have sworn I saw a topic about this recently, but either I'm delusional or I'm searching the wrong terms Anyway, I froze my Equifax file online through myEquifax I have tried to remove the freeze

Freezing reports doesn't prevent identity theft per se, but will prevent thieves from opening new accounts in your name Why does it seem like a lot of work to freeze your accounts? You create accounts with each bureau by verifying your identity SSN
