Top Tropicals Nursery is promoting the 'Sweetheart' lychee as the best lychee in the State of Florida, USA I would love to see an honest comparison of the pros and cons between the 'Sweetheart' lychee and the 'Mauritius' lychee PIN was also billing Sweetheart as best tasting lychee, at least when i visited them several years ago

Best Lychee Tree in California in terms of Size and YieldTheres was a smart guy on here from Florida that said only chemical fertilizers work well for lychee But Ive just been giving mine mulch and organic composts and fertilizers and they seem fine Cotton seed meal, chicken manure, that sort of stuff They seem to like organic matter, well drai ed soil, plenty of water, and acidic

Lychee Season 2025This is my first year with producing lychee where I live! There are two seedlings in the yard which are 20 some years old and likely of Brewster descent I look forward to seeing them produce, and regardless of if the seed is huge and flavor so-so, I'll still be eating them by the bushel

Lychee flowers are starting to open here in Socal! All of the varieties i have on my multi grafted tree is blooming nicely The only cultivar having issues with blooming is Kaimana It's been 2 years in a row with no blooms The branch gets plenty of sunlight and is large enough to make a good size airlayer But, still no flowers Anyone else in Socal growing Kaimana having blooming issues

- Brewster vs Mauritius Lychees, which do you prefer?
Which variety of Lychee do you prefer, Brewster or Mauritius and why? I really like the intense Lychee Rose scent and flavor of the Brewster Lychee but I'm not a fan of their large seed Brewster Lychees, like many other varieties of Lychees also has a slight tannin taste to my palate which seems to accumulate as you pop more and more Lychee shells with your teeth, I'm assuming the tannins are
