- High output alternator vs 3g - Ford F150 Forum
That's odd for a '93 to have a 2G; '92 was the last year on trucks Is your truck actually a '93 model? Look at the 10th digit of the VIN: If you can't find a 3G harness at a JY, it's cheaper, easier, usually better to convert the 2G harness to 3G than to try to build your own from scratch The fuse on the Ex harness is in the A circuit, between the battery the A terminal on the VR Where

Either way, you SHOULD convert to a 3G alternator instead of the 2G that came on both of those It's a very minor wiring mod, but it's worth it, especially if you install a 130A version
- Fried starter relay? Blown starter solenoid fuse? - Ford F150 Forum
My dumb*** friend hooked the jump cables up to the wrong terminals It sparked a bunch before And started smoking before I could stop him Now the truck won't start The motor is getting fire and all the electronics still work I checked the fuse box and all is good I hear there is a starter solenoid fuse but cannot locate it to see if it blew The I hear the starter relay could be fried as
- Battery Light staying on??? - Ford F150 Forum
What are the most likely causes of the battery light staying on in the instrument cluster? I just replaced the battery last week w a brand new one (not because of this issue) The light came on after I got it back from the exhaust shop I did the homemade mil-eliminator for the O2 sensor (new one of those as well) and that solved the check engine light from going cat-less but now I have
- What Superchargers can I use on my 05 F150 5. 4L? Cobra?
I was wondering what supercharger will bolt onto my 5 4L Triton I dont really care for the Roush and was looking at the KB superchargers The main reason why I ask if a 03 04 Cobra Supercharger can fit mine is because the throttle bore is massive and I can get an oval Accufab for it and flow a hell of alot more then stock round throttle bodies Another thing, I like KB's 2 2L and 2 4L
- 1990 F150 no start KOEO code 95 - Ford F150 Forum
You should also inspect the alternator's large connector for signs of heat - that style (2G) is known to burn vehicles to the ground But the alt is NOT the cause of the no-start
- where is my voltage regulator?? - Ford F150 Forum
Re: where is my voltage regulator?? by Steve83 » Sun Aug 29, 2010 12:10 am '87-91 use a 2G alternator with an internal VR Upgrading to the 3G 130A is easy and highly recommended 2Gs have a habit of catching fire, and they were never that good to begin with You can find a full article about this swap on ?
