The best bullets for the 460 Rowland are solid construction moving as fast as safely practical - between 185 and 260 grains, though 230-240gr is a good practical maximum Surprisingly, when you drive a "blunt nose" bullet over 1,400fps it doesn't matter much what the nose is shaped like, and 451" FMJ bullets are quite blunt

I ordered a 1911, 460 Rowland conversion from Rowland and received the kit that needs gunsmithing to fit the barrel I had Carolina guns install it They did a fabulous job and I am thrilled with my new magnum 45 1911 for hog hunting I will post more as I reload and use it for hunting
