I have this real nice Jet air buffer that I inherited, but it's locked up By that I mean the part that usually spins, doesn't The "head" that is removed in the second picture spins freely You can see in the pic where I circled in yellow is the gear that is locked I don't know anything

The closest number to this that i have found anywhere thus far is 462 624 which was made from 76-87 So you might be correct about the heads being later model QUESTION: can you just mix match blocks with heads like that? Won't that affect compression ratios or something? How can i tell the year of the block if i can read the engine vin id code?
