- 7PRC loads velocities - Long Range Hunting Forum
I don't see much to gain by switching from a 300WM to a 7PRC Either will run a 180gr bullet at 3,000 FPS The 180gr PRC bullet will have a higher BC but the WM can utilize heavier, higher BC bullets at less velocity Either cartridge should get the job done
- 7mm PRC, are you happy? - Long Range Hunting Forum
Definitely a significant difference in recoil between my 6 5PRC and 7PRC It doesn't bother me personally, but it might bother others 6 5PRC rifle is also over 1# heavier

I finished load development on another 7PRC yesterday It is the fifth one I have done recently, and all of them did very well with N568 175 ELDX and 175 Berger EOL's ended up averaging high 2800's in speed, and accuracy was outstanding
- 7 prc or 6. 5 prc? - Long Range Hunting Forum
7prc has a 22" barrel and the 6 5prc has a 21" barrel The 7 will obviously do it all but it's 7lb heavier, will be a little harder to sit in scope on a light weight build
- 7prc or 6. 8 west? - Long Range Hunting Forum
The 7prc has a better chance of fading as the 7mm crowd jumps to next BBD every time a new 7mag of some sort is introduced Couple of years ago the 28 Nos was the next coming, now it's PRC
