AAFES Bad check repayment I am in need of assistance I have two bad checks that were cashed at AAFES I received a notification letter and repayment letter on June 9 2010 and they totaled $375 I have been paying down on them I called them in February 2012 to get my balance and I was informed my account had been sent to collections last year

They did not touch my VA disability but they did garnish my tax refund and put a witholding to my work I paid on mine for a few years and finally called the debt collector Aafes will not take back the debt Worst debt to have because the interest is nuts

Re: Military Star card reporting inaccurate lates Your welcome Many civilians don't realize the power of Aafes, they are considered a "federal account" as far as collections go they are the only credit debt (CC, bad check) that can payroll deduct from VA disability, SSI or SSD there is no "Federally Protected" status from them
