As of last month, I had been garnished at that amount for years and years and had paid over $15,000 on the original $7800 debt I'd previously called AAFES and was informed that as of June, 2017, AAFES TSI were reopening a (supposedly indefinite) window for offering a settlement amount to close out the debt for once and for all

Aafes started to garnish my husband's wages for the minimum through an involuntary allotment We ended up paying probably close to 5k for 2k We just avoided credit for almost 10 years because of this and one other credit card due to our mistakes and not wanting to get into debt again

I have an AAFES account from an old military DPP Star card that initially was reported 120+ days late and written off as bad debt, and an associcated collection created by OSI After they started garnishing my pay I worked overtime and paid off the account in full

When I received my statement this month for my Take it Home Today account, or major purchase plan with Aafes, there was a message stating that the program would be ending in October and no charges would be allowed to the account after that It went on to say that they would be sending out a letter soon with more information

I am in need of assistance I have two bad checks that were cashed at AAFES I received a notification letter and repayment letter on June 9 2010 and they totaled $375 I have been paying down on them I called them in February 2012 to get my balance and I was informed my account had been sent to collections last year

Re: Aafes and wage garnishment You would actually need to get this before the judge who granted the judgment and prove that this is a private backed financial product and is not guaranteed by any governmental entity
