I've got it on Windows 11 - no installation issues with 2023, 2024 or 2025 Occasionally 2025 laucnhes slowly - seems to do nothing, then appears afte a moment or two Can you check Task Manager and close any instances that are running in the background, then try launching it again There may be a delay - don't double-click it again Does this allow you to launch it?

I just tried to install the Update for ACDSee Ultimate It failed with the same message that everyone else got - the version of the client is too old Windows' cryptic reference to some client is absolutely useless Windows 11 Pro 24H2, Build 26100 2605 I wonder if the test bed for the Update was on computers that did not have 24H2 installed

In ACDSee Ultimate You can use a custom metadata preset to copy selected metadata into the ACDSee Caption, as shown in the screen shot below, or you can manually input an ACDSee caption You can also use a custom metadata preset to copy the ACDSee Caption to an IPTC Title, or an IPTC Description

In terms of ACDSee itself, the location and size of the collection it is managing, where the database is, and the condition of the database (The Dashboard, Database tab will provide some of those details, along with the number of orphan files and folders)

ACDSee uses the Volume Serial Number of the drives, not just the drive letter or volume name, for the location of files, and the Volume Serial Numbers would be different on the new PC, so using Database Maintenance, you should have done a rebind your photos folder from the unmounted old drive to the new photos folder
