Acquiesce is a remarkable word because it has a level of specificity that "accept" or "agree" don't carry with them Like, yes, acquiesce does basically mean to agree, but it carries the connotation of agreement done with some degree of reluctance yet also agreement done without complaint It's a very specific and niche word, and I rather love it My writing is largely quite straightforward
