- Beginner Question on Sho-Bud Maverick - The Steel Guitar Forum
I am currently in the market for a pedal steel guitar I came across a Craigslist add for a Sho-Bud Maverick pedal steel with one knee lever (I think, see the pictures) and three pedals This thing looks like it has not been used in quite awhile but I’m unsure if it would make for a good beginner instrument to get me started I have heard from other forum threads that some of these Maverick

If you want to get a steel at the price a flipper gets one, that means putting in the work that the flipper does: obsessively checking reverb, craigslist, estate sales, the forum, every day, multiple times a day But if you want a good steel at at the going rate, there are plenty

MXR makes a 10 band EQ pedal for just over $100 I've thought about an EQ pedal to help minimize tonal differences between amps and just to be able to dial in better than the usual treble, middle and bass on amps Could you share your experience with EQ pedals? thanks much

IF I were to buy one of these (it would be an impulsive desire for a new toy--I have FX up the wazoo and no particular itch for this one at the moment)--I would be thinking that while the B9 gives you a lot more organ options, the C9 provides enough B3 options to cover that area (run into a good Leslie sim) and provides some intriguing other
