The other day I noticed my radiator fans constantly running at full blast and staying on for 5 minutes after shutdown - saw that the coolant temp gauge was pegged low I replaced the coolant temp sensor and the problem is still there

I'm brand new to The Forum I have a 2015 F150 XLT The last 2 days the engine cooling fan has been stuck on HIGH, and it is VERY LOUD Its so loud that I can hear it well from inside my house

It appears that the problem is with the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor or its wiring When the ECU doesn't get a signal from the ECT, it doesn't know if the coolant is too hot or not and so as a failsafe, it runs the fan at 100% to avoid overheating

We drove home yesterday and the CEL light came on again This fan speed is not normal, I'm not even towing yet Anyone have this problem? I'm hoping it's just programming and they don't have to replace the whole clutch fan I really don't want them wrenching on this truck already
