2008 Silverado 5 3 V8 with AFM with 180,000 miles Current issue is flashing check engine light with code p0300, snap-on scan tool reading missfires on cylinders 1, 2, 4, and 7 Before current issue the truck had slight lifter ticking sound and white smoke upon every start up which would go away

I had a Magnaflow exhaust put on my new truck this morning I asked the guy to keep the flapper valve on, but he said it would rattle if I left it on there I deferred to his experience and had it removed AFM kicked in on the drive leaving the shop and the vibration is awful at highway

The misfire is showing for cylinder 6, so I would go systematically and change the plug and recheck If still showing the same code change the wire with an adjacent cylinder and the same thing with the coil If the code switches to another cylinder you know which component needs replacing, but if it stays with the cylinder 6 one or both of the rocker arms might be loose
