Arri for better or worse, has forced the other brands into territories nobody expected them to be in and Arri themselves, haven't dramatically innovated Sure the Alexa 35 is a stellar camera, with wonderful color science and an imager which has fantastic dynamic range, but so is the Venice II and Burano So is the Red V-Raptor

The buckle switch in my camera seems to not work At the end of a roll of film you can hear the film catch on it but then the camera keeps running I’ve checked the override and it is in the correct position It’s pretty easy to tell that the roll is done based on the frame counter and the sound

This is just about a little detail that I cannot figure out myself All the pictures of Arriflex II cameras (mostly IICs) with the cardioid movement that I have seen have this cap on that says "Fett (grease)" My Arriflex IIA has a cardioid movement as well, but the cap says "Oil" I've attached
