I personally wouldn't mind getting the course and my current full time job tasks with an accounting firm is related to review and ensure filing client's T1 T4 T5 is compliant, CRA audit reviews and other admin tasks, nothing in my job is much related to accounting, which is why I thought this Canadian Tax Academy course would be at least a start for someone like me with no accounting finance

There is lots of support and love at the block and in the offices there are often decades of experience The courses get harder as you get more experienced, covering more complex topics each year Tax academy is great A little or alot depends what you are looking for Accountants don't really specialize in taxes where tax pros do

All the "Walmart" style tax companies offer a tax course Canadian Tax Academy also has some kind of course I have no clue how good these are, but I will say that I had no understanding of tax after two university coursers, it took me about 6ish months working in public accounting to become competent

I would add Don’t file the return with pen and paper But rather do the return with pen and paper and then file the return online using WealthSimple Tax or other similar software (So that you can use AFR) And then look at the difference between your paper version and the tax software version to see where you may have gone wrong (or right)
