I also have the Accel advance kit The chart they give you is done in distributor degrees You have to multiple the numbers by two to get the crankshaft degrees, so the kit should give you 24 degrees of advance However, I agree about the weights and use factory weights with aftermarket springs as well

New product from Accel bought a set for the big block (part number 257040)just for grins to see if it helped get some more juice to my plugs MSD 6al with a Unilite Cleaned the plugs like new Passed the seat of the pants test as well Wires tested roughly 22 ohms on all 8 Never thought

I'm wanting to run a shorty style plug and considering Accel 0574S My heads are cast iron World Products, compression ratio 10 1 I'm not sure about heat range but description states 6 Is anyone running these or have other suggestions for a shorty plug? Thanks!

posted January 09, 2005 11:12 PM I just bought these Accel 576S plugs, shorties, for use with headers My 73 Z calls for R44T I noticed that the Accel's electrode plug extends 3 16" further out than the AC Delco plug Will this difference hit my piston? took of the qjet today dissassembled, reassembled with new top gasket but when putting the top back on, noticed that the "power piston assembly" was pushing up on the gasket the needles were properly aligned and guiding through the jets well but is the piston supposed to be pushing up aainst the top like that? it was holding the top bu by maybe an eight of an incho or so?
