- Amsoil - Worth it? | BobIsTheOilGuy
Amsoil, Shaeffers and T6 are all very capable fluids But, depending upon individual application of fluid and equipment, there may or may not be a clear "winner" above the others The real question is whether, in your specific situation, is a premium lube worth the additional cost, relative to the performance it can provide?
- ATF+4 Choices and Amsoil | BobIsTheOilGuy
What is the thoughts on this? Amsoil's site shows a comparison of the ATF+4 and Amsoil ATF protection after 100k and a tear down of the transmission Looks good to me What is strange though is that on their product page for the Fuel Efficient ATF which doesn't list ATF+4 as compatible, they show the same tear down info vs ATF+4
- Is Amsoil really the best motor oil? | BobIsTheOilGuy
Is Amsoil really the best motor oil available for most cars and trucks? Recently people have been posting the results of various tests that have been done Of course, much of this testing was done by Amsoil and you can expect that they will put their motor oils in the best possible light that
- Amsoil vs everyone else | BobIsTheOilGuy
Amsoil doesn't encourage extending OCI without UOAs, or in severe service conditions They also recommend regular filter intervals and there are qualifications on 100K+ cars I don't do super extended changes, but their recommendations, if followed, are sound; there are several 20-27K miles OCI documented on this site

- Is Amsoil Really Worth The Money? | BobIsTheOilGuy
Amsoil IS worth the money for protection and longer intervals b t oil changes The one thing that you may not have thought about though is that the 6 0 PSD shears oil more than any other Diesel Engine Due to this, you need to change the oil in your truck more than the others
- ATF: Amsoil Signature vs Toyota WS vs Idemitsu | BobIsTheOilGuy
I'll be using Amsoil engine, transfer, and crank case oil, but figured I should stick with Toyota WS for the transmission, as deviating from OEM ATF is sacrilegious in most auto circles Long story short, I'm now second guessing that wisdom and considering a couple alternatives 1) Amsoil Signature ATL
- Mobil 1 0W20 VS Amsoil 0W-20 Signature Series
Amsoil has 2 0W-20's that are API-certified, the 'XL' and 'OE' 0W-20 IF you want to go with Amsoil, maybe choose one of those I'm not an Amsoil user, but Amsoil fans seem to react pretty violently when the possible warranty implications of using Signature Series are brought up
