Anydesk never ran in the background on my desktop machine, I'm very careful about that kind of thing I have a full install, and in the past all I've had to do is open up the Anydesk window, or shortcut directly to another machine, I could use the window and then when I closed it, the entire operation closed and it did not run in the background

But if we'd switch from AnyDesk to TeamViewer, we'd pay about three times as much So considering that AnyDesk works pretty well (don't know if there's something TV does better because I haven't used it in quite some time) and afaik didn't have the kind of security breach that TV had I really don't know why I'd want to pay 3x the price for TV ;-)

Anydesk>Settings>Security>Permission Profile Just to clarify 'askingss' steps You need to make sure the check box is checked for EVERY profile you have setup, and 'Unattended Access' is ALSO a profile, so if that's how your connecting, then you need to use the dropdown and choose THAT profile to make sure the box is checked on it

Edit: I spent about 10 hours trying to get anydesk to work I have connected with one machine I still have another to do Edit2: I now have both machines connected I'm thinking of approaching anydesk (Twitter) about it being located on their help desk page
