It is entirely up to you When it comes to Fan Control, its developer, Rem0o (Remi Mercier), is aware of the issue and is currently trying to implement workaround that is excluding the WinRing0 driver completely and substitutes it by PawnIO

It's known to be vulnerable, but many programs have issued updates to swap to a more secure driver called PawnIO Check if you have any RGB or monitoring software installed

There's some details on PawnIO in this LibreHardwareMonitor thread; but basically it aims to be a secure alternative to WinRing0, by running signed modules written in Pawn that then present ioctls to userspace, instead of directly exposing low level access to userspace like WinRing0

Strange, I didn't have any problems with either Winring0 or PawnIO I only updated because I was experiencing strange behavior with the GPU fans, which would spin up when I turned on the computer and then return to the correct speed, and I hoped that with PawnIO they would stop doing that

PawnIO driver has a built in script interpreter and is already signed, the modules that integrate with the driver can be signed by him too So for example FanControl is already capable of not using WinRing0x64 by replacing LHM libraries with the forked version that uses PawnIO
