You declare variables in the scope of setup (), and you try to use them in the scope of loop (), so the compiler tells you that you haven't declared them to be used in the scope of loop () What's the confusion? Put your variable declarations before setup () by where all of your #define 's are and they'll be global

With enough know-how, you could probably extract the executable binary from the Arduino, but the source code is not installed on the device You would need to run a decompiler on the binary (Or read the machine code directly ) The output of a decompiler is usually pretty ugly however, and will look quite different from the original source-code
