- Thoughts on BMW EVs reliability : r BMWI4 - Reddit
BMWs seem pretty reliable in this segment, and make very good cars that don’t feel look like EVs As a i4 M50 owner, if you’re choosing between the i5 M60 and Taycan, I’d say get the Taycan They are unbelievable cars and with the exception of the infotainment, a different class
- Not understanding why anyone would get a BMW : r whatcarshouldIbuy - Reddit
BMWs, along with other German cars, tend to get a bad rap I feel what happens is people go from something like a Honda civic to something like an M3 or M5 and freak out when their oil changes go up 500% They put off maintenance, and one day everything goes wrong at once, and they are looking at a bill in the thousands of dollars
- Why are BMW drivers such douchebags? : r driving - Reddit
Simple: A used ~10-20 year old BMW is a cheap powerful RWD car that you can drive like a douchebag So for most douchebags, it's the obvious option Hence, we get the correlation between BMWs and douchebags
- Is the maintenance cost for BMW’s really as bad as people say?
As a mechanic and previous owner of 3 BMWs, it really depends on which BMW N A I6 3 series and current B58 models aren’t bad although they’re no Toyota Camry Any BMW that ends in -50i (V8), those will consume your wallet If you’re a DIYer or if there’s a good specialize shop in the area that will shave off costs
- Why are BMW’s so notoriously unreliable? : r AskMechanics - Reddit
Regular maintenance, filled out oil change logs, and my 3 BMWs were horrendous money leeches, all with electrical issues, and other random crap like an imploded transfer case, dead electronic odometer, bad hood latches (on 2 of the 3), leaky liquid reservoirs on all 3, and just on and on, in different states with different regular mechanics
- Why is the BMW stereotype so true? : r BMW - Reddit
I agree and disagree Good analysis though Most poor folks who drive their old getto bmw r the worst W r to rich, depends on dad's money or daddyO's money then u r right
- Why used 5-series so cheap : r BMW - Reddit
While BMWs are almost all RWD based except for the 2 series When you drive Audi A6 A7 they all feel very front nose heavy vs 5 7 series The only thing different between 3 and 5 is interior quality and slightly better interior space and amenities
- Is buying a used BMW really that bad of an idea? : r askcarguys - Reddit
The BMWs seem to have the most issues I usually can fix it myself so I don't mind but these cars will just randomly decide to eat a few thousand dollars as a surprise Also regular items like oil, brakes, and tires are more expensive than for a Honda
