Hi I used Belarc advisor free to try to find my licence key wich ended up to be a generic one Anyway since this software is like a detective, should we remove it from the pc after it has served its purpose?

Belarc is just a tool that has become outdated Is there a reliable utility out there to double check all updates have been installed I'll keep Belarc Advisor anyway as a quick check on configuration

Belarc Advisor is great app, caffeine I'm using it too But don't know how usable is thread like this, or will be Power Users here are well aware of it (I'm sure) and for those, who will need it in time, this thread will be buried deep in history :) One thing Don't trust Windows license key, if you have OEM one (written in BIOS)

Belarc shows OS is Win8 on W10 pc I run Belarc Adviser from time to time, ran it this morning and it shows my OS as Microsoft - Windows 8 Home Premium (x64) I upgraded to W10 Home Premium in August from Win7, does anybody know why Belarc shows this? My W10 is activated and has no problems, this machine has never had windows 8 of any type on it
