The Belka covers 100 Khz to 30 Mhz And it's certainly compact and portable But it's a bit expensive Are there other portables you'd recommend that cover anything close to the range of the Belka? For my use case I want a self-contained, battery-powered receiver with an attached (whip) antenna

I need to know whether the radio receivers that are highly sensitive, like having sensitivity less than 0 0224 micro volts for AM reception, encounter less fading than the others with less sensitivity? Which specification of a radio receiver is responsible for mitigating fading?

Fortunately last year I found the perfect portable, I purchased a Belka DX directly from Alex over in Belarus I purchased the 1 5 mhz to 30mhz version without a speaker, that uses stereo earbuds The sensitivity is on par with my Yaesu FTDX-3000 it is fully adjustable, the bandwidth is also fully adjustable, and it's an All-Mode receiver

To late though I sold my belka The best HF receiver I have owned I just enjoy a waterfall display so my LAN IQ took over HF duties Sold my R8600 last month Was a great receiver too But enjoy sitting in my recliner while scanning the frequencies instead of sitting at a desk Getting old sucks so might as well be comfortable while enjoying
