On J A W 's point, a brief historical note: The Blue Note 32 192 archival tape transfers were performed circa 12 years ago – those transfers were indeed used for the 75th Anniversary vinyl, hi-res, XRCD24, and other reissues, mostly mastered by Grundman, Yoshida, Bellman, etc , whether credited or not These always sounded bright to my ears

The description also stated both records have the original blue note inner sleeve (whatever that might be) As previously stated: i don't really care what pressing or issue a record is, if it only sounds good That doens't mean I don't care to know which issue I have got, know the background and learn of ways to differentiate one from another

Here is what I've been able to cobble together about Blue Note deep grooves: Up until 1960 Blue Note record pressing machine produced a deep groove in the label -- for pictures of which, see above At this point, they were using labels that had "47 West 63rd " Their earlier label -- used until 1957 -- had a "Lexington Ave " address on it
