If you get a locking rear end and are careful a 2wd will handle "most" ramp situations I have seen some 2wd owners carry a set of traction mats just in case It really depends on the ramp, how deep you need to launch and the surface conditions I know of some ramps that a 2wd is fine and some where a 4wd is required I have

- What horsepower motor to use on light weight 14 aluminum boat?
I was wondering what size outboard motor to use on my 14' harbercraft aluminum boat? The boat is pretty light, probably 165lb-180lb range and I bought it off a guy who used to put on top of his canopy on his truck My boat has a 15" transom and like I said it is pretty light weight and probably comparable to a 14' starcraft

My boat is a Penn-Yan Avenger with a flying bridge so weighting around 4000 lbs It is a 23 feet mesured at waterline and it has an inboard motor so the stern have to protrude from the back of the trailer then this trailer should be also right
