I just looked at the FAFSA confirmation email after I submitted and it says I am not eligible for Pell Grants However, I do believe I meet the criteria to be eligible I looked at the eligible criteria and I noticed it said “provide consent and approval to have your federal tax information transferred directly into your 2024–25 FAFSA ” I didn’t see that as an option when I was filling

Delete the FAFSA form under you childs account and go through the process again When you get to the contributor info, send and invite to the parent with the FAFSA

The next question I have is what is your FAFSA EFC? I want to see how much federal money, via PELL, DIRECT loans etc you are entitled to get If you are expecting some school to pay to have you as a student, your chances are very slim Full ride scholarships are just about impossible to get

When will parent receive email invite ? So I completed my student portion around 12 hours ago, but my dad (main contributor) still has not received the invite email to fill out my FAFSA form Did anyone else parent take this long to receive their email or is there some sort of issue on my end?

But the fafsa a seems to open in the morning (not sure how early since I wake up pretty late, around 12) and seems to close at around 6-7 pm (pacific time) so I would say work on it from morning to 7pm since that’s when it seems to open and you don’t have to worry about it glitching on you

So FAFSA says the other parent spouse will be notified but the spouse never is - because the real purpose of the question is to confirm that the other parent is the same person as on the linked tax return So thousands of parents are waiting for the spouse to get an email which never shows up
