  • How good is Brave in terms of security and privacy? - Reddit
Out of the box, brave is probably better, but if you do a bit of configuration, i think Firefox wins by quite a bit in terms of security and privacy, and a lot in terms of convenience and performance
  • Firefox vs Brave : r browsers - Reddit
Brave is really private out of the box, plus being a Chromium browser, it has all the performance benefits you'd expect from a Chromium browser Firefox has the advantages and disadvantages of engine independence
  • Brave Browser, is it as unsecure as the FireFox users say?
Mostly Brave got accused to being a non-privacy browser with trackers and other unsecure stuff I just switched to Brave from Vivaldi so I was worried and wanted to investigate the claims, because what are my privacy steps worth if I use a browser that tracks me? I will only look at Brave not Firefox or other browsers
  • Which is better? Mozilla Firefox vs Brave : r browsers - Reddit
I strongly dislike most of Brave's ethos but as a browser, it seems to be going in a constructive direction, unlike Firefox, which is having parts stripped out of it, bit by bit, as the Mozilla CEO guzzles more money and tries to minimise the number of people she has to pay That's my rationalisation for using Brave over Firefox
  • Browser Recommendation Megathread - April 2024 : r browsers
Is this a thing? If not, what should I use? Brave? Librefox (does it even have extensions, I don’t remember but it was light as heck I think)? I am fine with having two browsers, but would like to integrate passwords in both (might be better to just use keychain, or icloud keychain, or some other software) Anyways, thanks for any help
  • Brave vs Chrome : r brave - Reddit
Brave is for people who only care about privacy, but still want chrome features, Firefox is for people who are super into privacy, or want their browser to be theirs
  • Librewolf vs Brave - I tested them so you dont have to.
Brave managed to hide WebGL fingerprint and audiocontext fingerprint, while Librewolf couldn't Librewolf managed to hide time zone and useragent, while Brave couldn't In Browser Leaks, on canvas section, both browsers seem to have a randomized fingerprint Although it is fingerprintable, it changes on a page reload or a browser reload
  • Brave vs Edge vs Firefox - Browser Benchmarks + RAM CPU . . . - Reddit
Conclusion Concerning Brave, Brave looks to have substantially lower benchmark scores than Edge I'm interested as to why Brave is touted as being quicker and more efficient than Chrome, while it is not ( Brave utilize a much greater RAM and CPU than Edge and Firefox too) Additionally, Brave eats substantially more battery than Firefox as well!
