If you need to download VMware Tools installation images, go to the Broadcom support portal VMware Tools are considered a free download and can be found in the free product list where you download Workstation Pro (just look for VMware Tools instead of VMware Workstation Pro) Note that you do not and should not use VMware Tools for Linux VMs

As explained, Broadcom has a policy against allowing unauthenticated downloads That model is incompatible with the existing automatic update infrastructure that VMware was using for Workstation and Fusion
